ChoicePoint

ChoicePoint Treatment Program
ChoicePoint adolescent treatment program is an intensive cognitive-behavioral therapy program designed to address the needs of adolescents and families who have been adjudicated in the Juvenile Justice System.

The program’s purpose is to provide therapeutic intervention in order to decrease recidivism, and be an alternative to longer term placement in facilities outside of the community, in which rehabilitation becomes more difficult.

ChoicePoint utilizes an evidenced based curriculum and includes constructs from the Botvin LifeSkills program, Aggression Replacement Training (ART), ARISE Curriculums, and Functional Family Therapy.

Areas of training include: rational thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, impulse control, risk-management, emotional intelligence, assertiveness,  goal-setting, values clarification, self-esteem, and interpersonal skills.  (maybe  bullet point these?)

The program duration is 24 weeks with 12 weeks of residential treatment and 12 weeks of aftercare treatment.

Treatment modalities of the program include individual therapy, group processes, family therapy, and parent education groups.
