Alaina Rhoad is a Licensed Master Level Psychologist. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2009, with a focus in Psychology, and received her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology in 2013 from the University of Saint Mary. In the private practice setting, Alaina’s focus is on treating adolescents and adults with anxiety and mood disorders, those struggling with interpersonal conflict, as well conducting psychological assessments and evaluations. She has experience in group and individual therapy for a variety of populations. With a background in Athletic Training, Alaina values the importance of physical health on one’s mental health. Alaina’s goal is to work alongside her clients in finding solutions and learning skills to help improve the quality of their lives. Alaina has experience working with adult and juvenile offenders in a variety of settings including the Community, Detention Centers, Residential Facilities, and Correctional Facilities. She is a Certified Behavioral Health Professional by the American Correctional Association. Alaina specializes in cognitive behavioral sex offender treatment and assisted in the planning, and implementation of the sex offender treatment program at the Kansas Juvenile Correctional Complex. Alaina serves on the state’s Multidisciplinary Team, responsible for evaluating potential sexually violent predators. In addition to rehabilitation, accountability and risk management, Alaina’s goals for the offender population is to provide an alternative voice for a group of individuals that otherwise may not be heard.
