Kayla Taylor, LSCSW
Kayla is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker in the State of Kansas. After finding her passion through working with children and families in the community with mental health needs, she completed her master’s degree in Social Work through the University of Kansas. Kayla completed her practicum with early intervention work for children under the age of three with the local school district, followed by her clinical practicum in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting, where she was later hired as an inpatient therapist upon graduation. She is currently working towards a Registered Play Therapist Certification after completing the certificate program through Mid-America Nazrene University. She is also working towards a second Master’s in Autism Spectrum Disorder through Bowling Green State University, as she has completed the certificate program already. Kayla hopes to better serve children who have experienced trauma, or who are unable to verbally process through their experiences or sensory disorders by helping them find their voice through play therapy techniques. Her experience includes individual, family, and group therapies for children, adolescents, and families.
