Kyla is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Temporary (LPC-T) and Licensed Master Level Psychologist–Temporary (LMLP-T) in Kansas. She earned her master’s degree in psychology from the University of Saint Mary, where she developed a strong foundation in evidence-based clinical practice and client-centered care. She provides mental health services grounded in compassion, collaboration, and a commitment to supporting individuals through a range of emotional and life challenges.
Kyla has clinical experience working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, stress, behavioral concerns, and life transitions. She has a particular interest in helping clients gain insight, build coping skills, and create meaningful change aligned with their personal values and goals.
Her theoretical approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, existential therapy, and choice-based perspectives. She uses CBT to help clients identify and modify unhelpful thought patterns, while also emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard through a person-centered lens. Additionally, she incorporates existential and choice-focused work to support clients in exploring meaning, responsibility, and personal agency in their lives.
Kyla also has experience providing psychological assessment, including the use of standardized psychological testing as part of comprehensive evaluations for diagnostic clarification, symptom identification, and treatment planning. She works with a wide array of clients to better understand their presenting concerns and support accurate, individualized, and effective clinical care.
Outside of work, Kyla enjoys spending time with her dogs, exploring nature, and practicing yoga.
