Cristina L. Sanchez, MS, LMFT
Cristina received dual a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice at Wichita State University in 2011. She then began working full-time facilitating groups with high-risk youth in JJA custody and in Title I schools in the Wichita area. In 2015, Cristina received her Master of Science in Family Therapy degree from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. During her time in the program she completed a clinical internship at the Department of Veterans Affairs Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Clinic where she provided group psychotherapy for veterans diagnosed with PTSD and anxiety disorders. Additionally, she completed her second clinical internship at the United States Pre-Trial and Probation Services office in Wichita, Kansas.
She provided individual, couple, and family therapy for clients preparing for incarceration as well as reintegration into society post-incarceration. She utilizes cognitive behavioral, strengths based, and solution focused techniques into her practice. Currently she is employed as a facility based therapist for the Sex Offender Treatment Program. Cristina is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
